Visit to the Phase Transformation Laboratory of Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea (2013)

I was performing research to develop a new generation of nano/ultrafine grained Ni-free austenitic stainless steels using thermomechanical processing at the Phase Transformation Laboratory (PTL) of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, hosted by Prof. Young Kook Lee. The Young's group is focused on microstructural evaluation, stress analysis, and mechanical properties of thermo-mechanical processed ferrous materials based on the thermodynamics, phase transformation, mechanical metallurgy, and heat transfer.
